Proud Mother Moment

I had a very early phone call of my sons head mistress today to say he'd been 1 of 3 picked to go on a special school trip to go and meet other kids that are spending the day on a school project. It's for kids that are ahead with thier work in some subjects so that they can be pushed abit harder than they would be normally.
I'm so proud because it shows how well he's come on with his work over the past year. He used to be behind on some subjects, but he's managed to catch up so well. And alot of that is down to him enjoying school now. Because last year he really didn't get along wit the teacher he had. But this new one he has has been brilliant.

Not Feeling Too Good

Well i managed to go all winter without catching a cold or a bug. Friday morning though a woke up with one hell of a cold. I knew it was going to be a bad one because i could feel it coming on for about a week. I'm thinking it must have done it's worst yesterday though because i don't feel too bad today. I haven't even had to take any medication for it yet.
Now that i'm feeling better from that though i've got stomach pains from a spicy takeaway we had lastnight so i'm still suffering lol. Hopefully tomorrow i might wake up feeling half human again.

New Toy

Well i've been spending the last 24 hours playing with my new toy. Yesterday while out shopping me and hubby ended getting an ipod touch each. I've wanted one for months now and was going to get one for my birthday. When we so some second hand one's in cash converters though they were too good an offer to ignore lol.
It's been something nice to take my mind off waiting for news off the insurance about my broken laptop. Hopefully will hear something next week about that.
I've been in a very good mood today. I even went out and strimmed the garden, which is very very rare lol. I'm hoping i can remain this happy and positive when i start my drugs for the ivf.

Lazy Sunday

Well i've been naughty today and instead of doing the house work like i shoud have done, i 've been surfing the net since i got up this morning. With a quick ten minute break to nip to the shop for supplies. Have managed to find some book suggestions from the author of the twilight saga. So i'm looking forward to going and getting them ordered at the library tomorrow.
Kaylub's back at school tomorrow, which he's not too happy about, but mean si can get back to my diet now. I find it harder to eat healthy when we're off out doing things with Kaylub in his holidays lol.

Blood Test's Are All Done

Well the blood test to see if i can be an egg sharer we all done at the clinic yesterday. It takes up to 4 weeks for all the results to come back and i'm hoping all is going to be well. Just over 4 weeks and we'll be back in to have our counsiling. If alls well with the blood results we will then be ready to be matched up with another couple to start treatment. I'm be in a fantastic mood for weeks now because our wait actually feels like it could be coming to an end.
Now me and hubby are off to take the dog to the park for a play with her ball. Kaylub's just been picked up for the weekend by his dad. So it's a chilled out weekend planned for us.

Another Easter Done

Well it's been a quiet easter weekend, but it's still been a good one. The diet pretty much went out the window though because of all the lovely chocolate mmmmmmmmm.
I'll start being good again tomorrow though. Only another couple of days to go before i'm going for my blood tests. I'll then be keeping everything crossed that the results come back good so that we can go ahead with th egg share scheme.

A Good Day

Well today has been a very good one. While on the phone to our egg share co-ordinator we found out that i don't have to wait until May to go for my blood test's doing like we thought. It's only the cousiling that has a waiting list. So we're off to the clinic a week today to have my bloods done. By the time we go back for our counsiling session they should already have my results there. And if all is fine with the results we could be starting our treatment as early as the end of May. Which is a month earlier than we thought we would be starting. Not a bad way to start our easter weekend :-)

Reading Break

Well I'm having to take a break from reading now, as i need to clear some of my programmes off the sky plus. Hubby panic's if we have less that 50% left pmsl. As much as i enjoy watching my telly, my fingers are itching to pick the book back up lol.
Can't wait for tomorrow. We're off to my brothers for a drink and a sing song on the xbox 360. I'm on the wagon most off the time where drinking is involved seen as we'll be starting ivf soon, but i do jump of it now and again for special occasion's like birthdays and anniversary's. I can't wait to have a glass of white wine in my hand.
It's easy enough to stop drinking when your pregnant, but when you've no reason not to have a drink it's not so easy.

So Far So Good

Well I'm over half way though the second book in the twilight series now. I haven't enjoyed reading books this much for a good few years. Last night was a late one because i couldn't actually put the book down. This morning i woke up an hour and a half before my alarm was due to go off. I was so excited to find out what came next in the book i couldn't get back to sleep so i just started reading again. I think I'm going to be lost when I've finished the forth book lol.
I was hoping to finish the second book by the end of today but I've taken some of my headache tablets that tend to make me a little sleepy so i doubt that will be happening now. Also the fact Kaylub has a friend sleeping over tonight. Kids being noisy doesn't make for a good reading environment pmsl.

Death of a Laptop

My precious laptop is dead. Hubby stood on it by accident yesterday morning. Not to worry too much though as it is covered by the house insurance for accidental damage. Also i can borrow my son's until I'm sorted out with a new one.
Also yesterday our dog was throwing up most of the day, so i was playing nurse maid to her. That''s the last time she gets to chomp on a lamb bone. She may have enjoyed it but it's us that pay for it the day after.
Hopefully today is going to be a little more calm and i can just relax with my book. I've finally got my the twilight series through from the library. So i now have the challenge of reading all 4 books in 3 weeks as all the books are reserved after me so i won't be able to extend the time. Let the challenge commence.

Picnic in the Park

Me and hubby took our dog for a picnic in the park today. Like most people living in England we get excited at the sight of the slightest bit of sunshine. Which was fine until we arrived at the park. At which point the sun decided to play hide a seek behind the clouds. So we played fetch with the dog while both freezing our nips off. Not too be scared off easily though we sat at the bench to have our picnic and just put a brave face on it all.
As soon as we left the park, low and behold the sun came out to play, and has been out ever since.
All in all though it's been a great day and we're making the most of our chilled out time before we have one or possibly two little additions to our family come along.

Yey to the first blog

Well as the title says this is my first ever blog. I don't know who'll ever want to read it, but as i'm due to soon be starting on the bumpy road of ivf it thought it might be nice to keep a record of all i'm going to be going through. And what place better to do it.
